Pilot Course Dates for CDCEP™ to be held in UK and US

A CDCEP™ can demonstrate advanced knowledge and expertise of a holistic approach to improving energy efficiency in the data centre through the creation of an organisation's energy strategy and implementation plan.

Energy efficiency is one of the key factors in the on-going management of a data centre and one that is attracting growing attention because energy prices are increasing rapidly and legislative pressure is forcing energy use down. A CDCEP™ has contemporary expertise in this field of knowledge and makes an important contribution to the strategy to effectively deal with these issues.

Data centres are mission critical to the operation of many organisations. The growing demand for IT services means that data centres are increasing in number and their energy usage is intensifying. Computer systems, servers, networking and other IT equipment use a large amount of electrical energy. However, data centres also have redundant and backup power supplies and air conditioning, fire suppression, security, alarms and other supporting systems. High power, high density equipment places additional burdens on the energy use of the power supplies and cooling systems. This leads to a dramatic increase in electricity demand in individual data centres as well as across the sector.

This programme addresses the key issues and gives tangible tools and methods to the CDCEP™ to enable real energy savings and capacity reclamation
